Dear Parents, Guardians, and Teachers:   

Welcome back to a brand new school year! We hope you enjoyed a wonderful summer and are ready for a productive 2008-09 educational experience.  

One of the most important parts of our children’s education is to ensure they learn the benefits of staying active and healthy. As your school’s meal provider, ARAMARK Education has developed this year’s “World Adventure” promotional campaign. This program will be fun for our children while encouraging them to “Eat Right – Exercise – Get Plenty of Sleep.”  

Each month, ARAMARK Education’s new mascot ACE and friends will visit locations around the world. We’ll feature Ace in a fun “passport” experience every student will receive when purchasing lunch on an event day. In addition to the “passport,” kids will receive a fun premium to help them learn more about the world. These gifts include items such as a stencil ruler, world map and comic book. 

Our “World Adventure” program will engage students with fun facts and help teach them nutritional habits they need to grow healthy and strong. A proper diet improves students’ physical and mental alertness, fights illness and gives them energy and nutrients to keep their bodies functioning properly. These healthy steps will help our children excel in the classroom and at home. 

You can help by encouraging your student(s) to eat breakfast every day. The demands of the classroom can be difficult for children who are hungry. A proper breakfast provides the necessary nutrients to eliminate hunger symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, sleepiness and restlessness. Several studies indicate students who eat breakfast have better concentration, earn higher grades, visit the school nurse less frequently, and have fewer behavioral problems. We offer various breakfast programs – either in the cafeteria or in the classroom to ensure all children start the school day right!
